Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Callout Guardian ("the App"), you ("Customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Description of Service

Callout Guardian is a Salesforce AppExchange Managed Package that provides:

  • Automated discovery and monitoring of Salesforce integration endpoints
  • Health check probes with error classification
  • Circuit breaker, retry, and resilience patterns for callouts
  • Alerting and notification across multiple channels
  • Analytics, trend analysis, and SLA compliance reporting
  • REST API and webhook integration capabilities
  • Administrative dashboard and setup wizard

3. License Grant

3.1 Subscription Tiers

The App is available in three tiers:

  • Free: Limited features, up to 5 monitored endpoints
  • Pro: Extended features, up to 50 monitored endpoints
  • Enterprise: Full features, unlimited monitored endpoints

3.2 License Scope

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App within your Salesforce organization(s) according to your subscription tier. The license is per-org (not per-user).

3.3 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App's managed package code
  • Sublicense, resell, or distribute the App to third parties
  • Use the App in a manner that violates Salesforce's Acceptable Use Policy
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels on the App
  • Use the App to monitor endpoints you are not authorized to access

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring your Salesforce org meets the App's system requirements (API version 62.0+)
  • Configuring endpoints, alerts, and monitoring parameters
  • Managing user access via the provided Permission Sets
  • Ensuring you have proper authorization to monitor configured endpoints
  • Maintaining valid Salesforce licenses for your users
  • Backing up your data according to your own policies

5. Data and Privacy

  • The App processes data exclusively within your Salesforce org
  • No data is transmitted to our servers or any third party
  • See our Privacy Policy for detailed data handling practices
  • You retain full ownership of all data created by the App in your org

6. Service Availability

6.1 App Availability

The App runs within your Salesforce org and is subject to Salesforce platform availability. We do not provide separate SLA guarantees beyond what Salesforce provides for the platform.

6.2 Support & SLA

Support availability and response times depend on your subscription tier:

  • Free Plan: Community support via documentation and email (best-effort response, no guaranteed SLA)
  • Pro Plan: Email support at contact@calloutguardian.com with a 48-hour response time during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00 CET)
  • Enterprise Plan: Priority email support at contact@calloutguardian.com with a 24-hour response time during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00 CET)

Response times are measured in business hours from the time we receive your support request. Weekend and public holidays are excluded from SLA calculations.

7. Updates and Upgrades

  • We may release updates to the App via AppExchange push upgrades or manual upgrades
  • Updates may include bug fixes, security patches, new features, or changes to existing features
  • Major version upgrades may require manual installation
  • We will provide release notes for all updates

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

We retain all intellectual property rights in the App, including but not limited to source code, design, documentation, and trademarks. The Salesforce platform, Apex language, and Lightning Web Components framework are the property of Salesforce, Inc.

8.2 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide regarding the App may be used by us without obligation or compensation to you.

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

9.1 Limited Warranty

We warrant that the App will perform substantially in accordance with its documentation when used on a supported Salesforce edition.

9.2 Disclaimer

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
  • Health check results will be 100% accurate
  • The App will detect all integration failures
  • The App will be compatible with all Salesforce customizations

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OF THE APP.

Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you for the App in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the App in violation of these Terms
  • Your monitoring of endpoints you are not authorized to access
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

12. Termination

12.1 By Customer

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling the managed package from your Salesforce org.

12.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your license if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Fail to pay applicable subscription fees
  • Use the App in a manner that could harm other users or our reputation

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the App ceases immediately
  • Data created by the App remains in your org until you delete it
  • The UninstallHandler will abort scheduled jobs associated with the App

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through AppExchange listing updates. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
