End User License Agreement

1. Agreement

This End User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal agreement between you ("Licensee", "you") and the Licensor ("we", "us") for the use of Callout Guardian ("the Software"), a Salesforce AppExchange Managed Package.

By installing or using the Software, you agree to be bound by this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

2. Definitions

  • "Software": The Callout Guardian managed package, including all Apex classes, Lightning Web Components, Custom Objects, Custom Metadata Types, and associated metadata
  • "Org": A Salesforce organization instance where the Software is installed
  • "Subscription Tier": The licensed level of functionality (Free, Pro, or Enterprise)
  • "License Key": The configuration in License__mdt and Feature_Gate__mdt that controls feature availability

3. License Grant

3.1 Grant

Subject to the terms of this EULA and payment of applicable fees, the Licensor grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • Install and use the Software in one or more Salesforce Orgs according to your Subscription Tier
  • Access all features available at your licensed tier
  • Use the Software's API endpoints for internal integration purposes

3.3 Per-Org Licensing

The license is granted on a per-Salesforce-org basis. Each Org where the Software is installed requires a separate license. There is no per-user fee within a licensed Org.

4. Restrictions

You shall NOT:

  • Reverse engineer — Decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the managed package components
  • Redistribute — Copy, sublicense, lease, sell, or otherwise transfer the Software to third parties
  • Modify — Alter, adapt, or create derivative works based on the Software's managed code
  • Circumvent — Attempt to bypass or disable the Feature Gate, License Manager, or any tier restriction mechanism
  • Misuse — Use the Software to monitor endpoints you are not authorized to access, perform denial-of-service attacks, store sensitive personal data in App fields, or violate Salesforce's Acceptable Use Policy
  • Compete — Use knowledge gained from the Software to build a competing product

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

The Software is the intellectual property of the Licensor. This EULA does not transfer any ownership rights. The Licensor retains all rights, title, and interest in the Software.

5.2 Salesforce Platform

The Software operates on the Salesforce platform. Salesforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components, and related trademarks are the property of Salesforce, Inc.

5.3 Your Data

You retain full ownership of all data stored in the Custom Objects created by the Software within your Org.

6. Data Handling

  • The Software processes data exclusively within your Salesforce Org
  • No data is transmitted to the Licensor's servers or any third-party service
  • Sensitive HTTP headers (Authorization, Cookie, API keys) are automatically masked before storage

7. Support and Maintenance

7.1 Updates

The Licensor may provide updates, patches, and new versions of the Software through AppExchange via push upgrades (automatic) or manual upgrades (customer-initiated).

7.2 Support Levels

Support is provided according to your Subscription Tier as described in Section 3.2.

7.3 End of Life

The Licensor will provide at least 12 months' notice before discontinuing the Software or any major feature.

8. Warranty

8.1 Limited Warranty

The Licensor warrants that for 90 days from installation:

  • The Software will perform substantially as described in the documentation
  • The Software will not contain any known malicious code
  • The Software will comply with Salesforce AppExchange security requirements

8.2 Remedy

If the Software fails to meet the warranty, the Licensor will, at its option, repair or replace the Software, or refund fees paid for the current subscription period.

8.3 Disclaimer

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED ABOVE, THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LICENSOR BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES; DAMAGES ARISING FROM ENDPOINT DOWNTIME NOT DETECTED BY THE SOFTWARE; OR DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE TOTAL FEES PAID IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

THE SOFTWARE MONITORS INTEGRATIONS BUT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THEIR AVAILABILITY. THE LICENSOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PERFORMANCE OR AVAILABILITY OF THIRD-PARTY ENDPOINTS.

10. Termination

10.1 Term

This EULA is effective upon installation and continues until terminated.

10.2 Termination by You

You may terminate this EULA at any time by uninstalling the Software from your Org(s).

10.3 Termination by Licensor

The Licensor may terminate this EULA if you breach any term, fail to pay applicable fees within 30 days, or attempt to circumvent licensing restrictions.

10.4 Effect of Termination

Upon termination: all licenses cease immediately, you must uninstall the Software from all Orgs, data created by the Software remains in your Org(s) under your control, and Sections 5, 6, 8.3, 9, and 12 survive termination.

11. Export Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable export laws and regulations. The Software may not be exported or re-exported to embargoed countries or to individuals on any government sanctions list.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

This EULA shall be governed by applicable laws. Any disputes arising from this EULA shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

13. Severability

If any provision of this EULA is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

This EULA, together with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and the Licensor regarding the Software.
